Travelopy App: a replacement for Evernote Food as travel journal

A few years back I wanted a journal app to easily record my travel journey. I wanted to map out my journey and share it with my friends who ask about my journey.

I reviewed quite a few journal apps which are either not user friendly or they behave too much like a blog writer. Most people share their moments on Facebook, but I wanted something travel-specific and not to be mess-up with all the rubbish shared with friends. I wanted a simple and rigid journal app where I can

Finally I found Evernote Food, which allows me to keep track of my travel the way I like it, though sharing is a bit weak. It’s simple and has all the features I wanted, and it had decent UI/UX. I use it to keep record of the attractions I visited and the restaurants I tried, and all is good.

Evernote Food is later pivoted to become a recipe discovery app, so they added a lot of fancy features which I don’t need, but the journal note taking function still works well. Sadly they decided to kill the app on August 2015.

At that time I was developing a travel discovery app so I can bookmark important information of the places I wanted to visit, and I would like to keep a simple journal of my journey as well. I take inspiration from Evernote Food and added the journal feature to Travelopy App.

Travelopy Androip App

Now, you can discover places and capture moments with Travelopy App. Signup is optional (you can keep everything private on your phone), or you can sign up and share your travel journey and tips with the world if you like. Internet is unreliable during travel, so the app works offline as well.

Now I got my own app to record my travel journey and share my experience with the world. The side effects is that it helps to make DIY travel fun and hassle free for everyone, one moment at a time.

Feel free to try Travelopy App, where Travel is Life.
